MUGABE'S NEPHEW IN FIFA DEALINGS

From a sweltering hot Cape Town here's some Hot news! The exclusive right to sell Fifa's hospitality packages has been awarded to president Robert Mugabe's nephew Philip Chiyangwa. The fact that Zimbabwe is the subject of International sanctions seems not to hold weight in the sporting arena.
Ticket prices are being slashed in South Africa to fill stadiums but Chiyangwa meanwhile is doing a rip roaring trade with Fifa's hospitality packages. These packages include premium match tickets and lots of goodies including "dedicated hostesses"! Another juicy update on the 2010 Worldcup Football.

VUVUZELA - SOUTH AFRICA'S UNIQUE SOUNDING TRUMPET!

Hello and Good Morning again from a warm and sunny Cape Town. Today I'm going to look at The Vuvuzela. This a plastic brightly coloured noise making trumpet, about a metre long, that has come to symbolise the sound of South African 2010 World Cup Football Fans!

Some would describe the sound of a Vuvuzela as sounding like an elephant blowing its trunk! To say that it’s loud is a considerable understatement but in terms of creating an atmosphere in a packed Stadium the Vuvuzela is undeniable!
To play the Vuvuzela requires a fair amount of technique. So be sure to get in some practice before the 2010 World Cup!
Vuvuzela supplier Boogieblast offers this advice: "Put your lips inside the mouthpiece and almost make a 'farting' sound. Relax your cheeks and let your lips vibrate inside the mouthpiece. As soon as you get that trumpeting sound, blow harder until you reach a ridiculously loud 'boogying blast'." Cool! Be sure to give it a go during the 2010 World Cup Football. Have an awesome day :-)

2010 WORLD CUP SOME OF THE BETTER KNOWN TEAMS!

Yesterday I looked at some of the lesser known teams and today I'm having a look at some of the hot contenders for the 2010 World Cup here in South Africa! Lets begin with England. Fabio Capello has brought alot of discipline to the English side as witnessed most recently with the shenanigans involved within the team. I think England have a more mature and talented side than ever before and despite the goalkeeping position being a weak spot, the likes of Steven Gerrard and Wayne Rooney should see England on top form plus they are in a relatively easy group placement. They could even go all the way and win the tournament - C'mon you England! England's counterparts Germany are also a very strong side and although technically not as strong, witness their demise by Spain in Euro 2008, Michael Ballack and his men are a force to be recognised with. Spain are not quite as Invincible as some would believe but in terms of pure technique the Spaniards with the likes of Fernando Torres are probably the strongest team on Earth! But we musn't discount Brazil, Italy and Indeed Portugal. Being a betting man I think Portugal could end up as the winners of the 2010 World Cup Football here in South Africa. You heard it here first folks!

2010 GRANDSTAND - THE LOWDOWN ON SOME OF THE LESSER KNOWN QUALIFIED TEAMS

With the 32 places already decided here is a quick look at some of the more unusual teams in the 2010 World Cup Football. Japan - the "Blue Samurai" arrives here on these shores with a formidable maestro in the form of Shunsuke Nakamura. Australia not known for their football (Australian rules football doesn't count as the beautiful game ;-)) have qualified in style and although not a team renowned for their style have plenty of grit and attitude and Tim Cahill looks like one to watch. North Korea are unlikely to excel yet they have the star players of Ahn Young-Hak and Jong Tae-Se and will be vulnerable yet fearless! Over to Europe and Serbia have a lot of talent but sometimes lack discipline but watch out for Nemanja Vidic and Dejan Stankovic for awesome composure. Switzerland may have invented the cuckoo clock but are at the top of a tough qualifying group and with their renowned discipline if not Inspiring play they may get through to the second round - watch out for star player Valon Behrami. Well there you have a quick whistle stop tour of the some of the more unusual teams and I guess outsiders in the 2010 Football World Cup here in South Africa. Have a great day! :-)

PROSTITUTION A NO GO DURING WORLD CUP - PLENTY OF OTHER THINGS TO DO!

Prostitution may be a no go in Cape Town during the world cup but hey there's plenty more to see and do! A recent article in a local newspaper alluded to the fact that tourists tempted to use the services of prostitutes during the 2010 Football World Cup could be arrested and end up behind bars. Interestingly some members of parliament have also called for the decriminalisation of prostitution! However the clear message from Cape Towns Vice Squad to all tourists coming out to South Africa for the 2010 Football World Cup is to stay away from the prostitutes. Fair play, as there are plenty more exciting legal things to do in Cape Town! Watch this post for further exciting updates..Yours live from Cape Town.
