The 4 key stadiums will be Nelson Mandela Bay StadiumGreen Point Stadium,  Soccer City and Moses Mabhida Stadium. Lets start with Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium. Situated in Port Elizabeth along the Eastern Seaboard of South Africa, this 48 500 seater stadium has an eye catching roof structure which is sure to draw attention. With a natural grass playing surface this stadium with its spectacular architecture will be something for all to admire! Next up is Cape Towns awesome Green Point Stadium with a capacity of nearly 70 000 and its sweeping silhouette this stadium is an amazing site. Having watched the building of this stadium first hand I can report that it blends in beautifully with its surrounds. Soccer City in Johannesburg is the crown prince of stadiums and will host the opening game and celebrations. The stadiums design is built around the idea of an African calabash and its appeal is heightened when lit up at night! The stadium has a capacity of 95 000 seats - this is the home of South African football!
The Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban is quite magnificent like a collosal UFO mother ship. With a high tech cable car running across the top, designed to take visitors to the highest point of the stadium. There they can enjoy breath taking views of the city and surrounds! Designed to seat 70 000 people is a world class multi-functional stadium. This concludes our quick tour of 4 of the new grandstand stadiums to host the games of the FIFA 2010 Football World Cup!
